Questions about insurance for dental practices

Practical answers for a more useful conversation with a provider.

Are professional insurance requirements identical across Canada?

No. Confirm current requirements with the regulator for the relevant province and work scope. U.S. practices should check their state requirements separately.

Does an associate’s certificate protect the clinic entity?

It does not resolve every clinic allegation or business exposure. Review the associate agreement, insured names and the clinic’s own responsibilities.

Does equipment value establish breakdown cover?

No. Ask about insured causes, breakdown extensions, maintenance conditions, deductibles and repair or replacement terms for the actual equipment.

Does sending an enquiry buy insurance?

No. It asks the network team to respond. Only a suitable provider can confirm an offer, acceptance and the effective insurance arrangement.

Can I enquire from Canada or the United States?

Choose your actual country and province, state or territory. Provider availability and eligibility depend on the market; sending an enquiry does not establish acceptance.

What should I leave out of the form?

Leave out medical records, government IDs, payment details and policy documents. Share general needs here; use a provider’s secure process if sensitive records are later required.
